Four Kumaras

Could you please explain the reason why the four Kumaras refused to carry out the orders of Lord Bramha.(to populate the earth)
Was this to teach us that bhakti Yoga is more important?
And also why do they appear enternally as children

If you think I could understand I would be most grateful for a reply.

Being transcendentalists, the Kumaras (in FAVORABLE contrast with their Father) took no interest in the shackles of sex life, and remained blissfully celibate. As to why they don't appear to age, i'm not sure- maybe another devotee might offer a reason for that. HARE KRISHNA!
