View Full Version : Are ISKCON temples now full of neophte devotees?
And the most advanced devotees have gone over to Narayana Maharaja and the Gaudiya Math?

While ISKCON clearly has deviated from Prabhupada's original iskcon movement, those going over to Narayana Maharaja or any Gaudiya Math are NOT more advanced, but less. Prabhupada STRONGLY spoke against going over to ANY of his godbrothers. Any. ANY. If you want quotes, I can provide.

Narayana Maharaja is not Srila Prabhupada's Godbrother.
Narayana Maharaja is not Srila Prabhupada's Godbrother.
what makes you say that?

He was initiated by Srila Prabhupada's sannyasa guru, Bhakti Prajana Keshava Maharaja, who was Srila Prabhupada's Godbrother.
In other words, Narayana Maharaja is the disciple of one of Srila Prabhupada's Godbrothers. I mention this just to clear up misinformation.

If you're worried about going to Srila Prabhupada's Godbrothers, fine. But Narayana Maharaja isn't a Godbrother, just fyi.
Does it really matter which guru people choose as a spiritual guide? Really, some of you need to get over this prejiduce and squabbling between Iskcon and the Gaudiya Math. Its no better than catholics and prodestants arguing between themselves about who is right or more advanced or knowledgeable.
The main thing is that the teacher or guru is practising and is able to help bring all of us fallen idiots to the lotus feet of God. We are all floundering here in the material world - otherwise we wouldnt be here now. Its time we all cultivated some real humility and accept the precious gift others are offering due to the lord's kind mercy. There are many we can learn from and each teacher has something wonderful to give.
And if anyone thinks devotees are being stolen away by others - think again. It is a personal choice that each individual makes. No one has the right to order someone else's actions or needs. Our spiritual journey is important to us all and if there is a living teacher we can approach - well whats wrong with that? After all, the scriptures say emphatically that we should get the association of advanced or saintly devotees. So why throw away that opportunity? You never know, it could be millions of years before you get another chance...And with so few teachers in the world today, we should be grateful for the ones we do have...
