Prophetic Statement?

"But sometimes, if a spiritual master is not properly authorized and only on his own initiative becomes a spiritual master, he may be carried away by an accumulation of wealth and large numbers of disciples."
(Nectar of Devotion, Chapter 14)

Well how true and definitely prophetic... We see this type of thing a lot these days even with many indian gurus. Some of them are so puffed up with their wealth and large numbers of devotees that they begin to think and claim they are god. There are many brahma-raksasas mimicking the Pundarikas of the world...
