Srila Prabhupada tells us:
"Regarding the position of a person who does not speak even when he knows the truth: jani saksi nahi deya tara papa haya. A person who knows things as they are and still does not bear witness becomes involved in sinful activities.’"
Srila Prabhupada Morning Walk, May 17, 1975, Perth, Australia
So many dangerous activities have been covered up for fear of 'fault-finding' and thereby committing an offense. But bringing attention to a serious defect especially on a temple-wide or even ISKCON-wide scale is not offensive. It is required. The offense is committed not by the witness report the activities but the perpetrator. |
