The spirit and water indicate Knowledge given by Sadguru like Jesus, Krishna etc., which cleans your soul from the dirty ignorance so that you can be a citizen of the kingdom of God . Then by your service you will become an employee of the king and slowly you can become the Son of God and finally God in human form. This means that Knowledge is the basis and Sadguru is the source of such True Knowledge.
