There is no difference between the body and soul in basic sense
54) Mayatpanchamikaaryarupam shruyate sthulam .
(The gross body is a modification of matter or food, described as cause is stated in Veda).
Veda says that the soul is the modification of food (Annarasamayah). Veda also says that the soul is the product of food (Annaat purushah). This clearly proves that the soul is just another form of food only. Therefore, there is no difference between the body and soul in basic sense. |
